Quite Simply...Beautiful Things Weekly Link Party

Weekly Link Party
Quite Simply...Beautiful Things

This weeks features:

Don't you love this Union Jack color combination Shades Of Blue Interiors painted with Chalk Paint®?  I know I sure do! Inspired by Miss Mustard Seed's ottoman, a combination of Country Grey, Old white and Provence.  Soft, subtle and magnificent!  You won't want to miss the other dresser painted with the same colors reversed. Perhaps another take on Quiet Riot?

Tattered Elegance really pulls the wool over our eyes.  Or should I say pulls the faux grain sack over our eyes? Those stripes are painted on, really. A lovely work of art, custom blended colors of French Linen and Pure White. Just a little Old White is added for some depth. The beautiful velvet gray damask on the back takes your breath away!  French elegance recreated at it's finest.

Quite Simply...Beautiful Things Link Party

Weekly Link Party
Quite Simply...Beautiful Thing

We hope everyone is fairing well with all the storms around the country!  It sure is cold here in Colorado, I am ready for spring...but we have a long way to go yet.  Instead, let's look at some beautiful projects linked up last week:

Fist up, a Chalk Paint® kitchen makeover!
It is such an amazing transformation,
I just had to include the before:
Elyse from Shabby Sweet Tea did a fantastic job on her kitchen using Pure White with a Paris Grey wash.  She really brightened and enlarged her kitchen with the colors and materials she picked, love the subway tile backsplash too!  Elyse, your kitchen is simply stunning!!
Love this cute little desk that The White Pear Tree linked up.  Can you believe she found this sitting on the curb?!  Wow, talk about turning someone else's trash into treasure, what a beautiful job - painted in Paris Grey with Old White accents.
Great stenciling too!

Quite Simply...Beautiful Things Weekly Link Party

Weekly Link Party
Quite Simply...Beautiful Thing

This weeks features:

Okay, maybe I'm a little biast...it's John Denver after all.  He wrote Rocky Mountain High and we are so blessed to live at the foot of the Rocky Mountains!!  Susan with Simply Vintageous...by Suzan added a quick dry brush of Pure White to a pallet and left some wood showing for a nice rustic look.  Then applied words to another John Denver song with her trusty Sharpie.  Suzan really loves John Denver! It's just lovely.

Kim with Made In A Day shows us how she updated, what she calls her "so so" china cabinet by making it a more stylish entertaining hutch.  Before, her glassware and dishes disappeared with the mirrored background.  Kim strategically placed nice woven baskets filled with her lovely dishes.  After, a very simple transformation for a wonderful focal point.  Great job Kim!

Quite Simply...Beautiful Things Feature and a Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Our Christmas turned out to be a little different than we had planned.  Christmas Eve day landed us at the urgent care for our youngest, then Christmas morning around 1:00am took us to the ER followed by being admitted to the peds unit.  Influenza B, Strep throat and an ear infection, followed by LOTS of meds, I think we are now ready to ring in the New Year!  Thankfully, she is doing much better now.

What a crazy week we had and it's already 2013, how did that happen?!

Last week we did not host our weekly Quite Simply...Beautiful Things Linky Party so we would like to share all of the posts from the last Link Party.
Sledding in style with a vintage snow sled painted in Primer Red and the stencils in Olive and Old White.  Great Christmas decoration!
An antique market chair and ottoman get a makeover with Old Ochre and Dark Wax worked into the crevices with a toothbrush.  The detailing looks great with the neutral striped linen fabric!
DIY Ombre Rushed Duvet Cover perfect for a girl's bedroom.  Get the steps to make your own professional looking duvet.
This huge undertaking turned out amazing!  Persistance pays off with multiple layers of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ and not giving up, impressive!
If you love a girly, feminine look...you'll love this Can Can Chest.  Soft pink and Paris Grey shake things up with golden gilding.  This dresser certainly Can Can!
A lovely pink metamorphosis, so haute couture dont you think?!
Snowmen made out of old quilts and buttons, so cute.  Unique and no two are alike.
Pair of Union Jack Chairs with Chalk Paint® painted right on the vinyl with a watered down Old Ochre wash for a faded look.  It's genius!
Lovely $15 two tiered table painted in Graphite and the Union Jack painted in Pure White & Paris Grey. Very nice color combination!
Duck Egg painted on a tray, jar lid, back of glass plates and watered down in bottles, very pretty.  Pure White with Dark Wax on the chalkboard windows look old, like it!
Added texture to a quatrefoil frame with Chalk Paint® in Primer Red, French Linen and Old White layered in just a way to give an old weathered look.
Finch pottery made to look ravaged by time and use.
They are beautiful.

Love seeing all the Quite Simply...Beautiful Things!

Rachel, please contact us HERE to claim your prize, congratulations!

I am just in love with this two toned look that Kristen from Sophia's Decor created.  I think it is the balance of masculine and feminine and the contrast of the dark stain and Pure White Chalk Paint with a little Florence for accents.  Gorgeous!

Chalk Paint™ Link Party

Hope everyone is having a lovely day!  Things are busy around here as we get ready to get kids back to school.  What fun projects everyone linked up, I can't wait to see what you create this week!

Deny from A Girl and a Brush is in love with Chalk Paint™ and it shows!  She chose Emperor's Silk to showcase this beautiful dresser.  Great pop of color and what a beautiful job distressing!
Suzy of Simply Vintageous stole my heart with her color combination of Versailles and Pure White.  I just love the simple farmhouse look.  Another great job of light, natural distressing and what a change from the dark and heavy piece it was before.  Lovely!

Chalk Paint™ Link Party

Since we are in the middle of our own kitchen renovation, Brighton Cottage caught our attention with their completed kitchen remodel.  Tricia and her hubby did a great job and really brightened and opened up the space.  Love the open shelves painted in Pure White along with lower cabinetry in Country Grey.  What a gorgeous kitchen!

Chalk Paint Link Party

We have so many exciting things happening right now, I can't wait to share them!  We are in the middle of completely gutting and remodeling our kitchen (can't wait to share all the details and photos!), and we are working on many new and exciting things for our business and store.  Lots of long hours and late nights, but oh so worth it!  We have been gathering ideas inspiration everywhere, and here is what inspired us from last week's link party...

I am just blown away by this faux zinc finish that Amy at The Salvage Collection created with Chalk Paint™  Using a base coat of Graphite and then adding some metallic paint to the Clear Wax, she  rocked the zinc finish!
Leanne from The Burlap Cottage did an amazing job repurposing a changing table into a kitchen hutch!   Yes, you read that right, can you believe it?!?  Using French Linen and Pure White and a great vision, she upcycled her existing furniture into something more purposeful.  What a beautiful transformation, Leanne.
