Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Link Party

We have been enjoying the beautiful weather here in Colorado and have been working on our plants for our garden.  Of course that includes some outdoor painting of our furniture which we will be sharing very soon.  Until then, let's get this party started, shall we?
I am still getting used to changes in Blogger, so we only have one feature for the week.  Denise from Pink Postcard did a lovely job on this dresser she refinished in Paris Grey and Pure White.  With her beautiful styling and gorgeous finish, I'm sure it will sell quick!  Lovely work Denise!

Chalk Paint Color Theory - Arles

Arles - It is a rich yellow ochre with a hint of orange.  When using Arles on furniture, Annie recommends pairing it with a cool, quiet color like Chateau Grey, Old Ochre, Country Grey, or a lightened version of Paris Grey.

It is a little difficult to pronounce correctly.  HERE is how the French say it.

This color is named after the town in the south of France famous for the vast deposits of yellow ochre pigments in the hills.  All the houses are painted in various ochre pigments found in the soil.
With Old White added, the color is very warm and gentle.

Bring a little bit of France into your home with Arles - now on SALE!

Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Link Party

As always, we are just amazed at the talent and creativity of all of you out there! You inspire us so much! There were so many wonderful projects to pick from last week's linky party.
Lora, from Leisure Living, caught my eye with the blue, Napoleonic Blue to be exact. I love the look of the layered paint that resulted because she changed her mind from the Old White she originally painted it. What an unexpected little surprise!
Danielle at Silver Pennies created a gorgeous look on this originally brown, boring table. She first painted it in Provence, then made an Olive tinted wax and finished with touches of gilding cream. The result is just divine!

Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Linky Party!

Our weather here in Colorado has just been gorgeous! I love spring, can't wait to get our garden planted and start enjoy fresh tomatoes again. Thank you for all the beautiful projects you linked up last week, it was hard to make a decision.
Love Town and Country Living's decoupage desk! After 15 years and never fully being satisfied with this desk, Jennifer took some Old Ochre and some script paper and created this stunning masterpiece! Simply beautiful, I will definitely be keeping this idea in mind for a future project.
Michele at Knot too Shabby caught my eye with her twin dressers. The one on the left is painted with Old Violet and Old White and the twin on the right is painted with Emperor's Silk and Pure White. Great idea to show the versatility of looks you can create with Chalk Paint™! Michele is also a fellow Chalk Paint™ retailer, be sure to stop by and visit her if you are in the Glendora, CA area.

Chalk Paint Color Theory - Barcelona Orange

What a vibrant color! I LOVE Barcelona Orange! This is a color that Annie re-released last year and we are so glad that she did. Think of a large, ripe orange and this is the color of Barcelona Orange. It is warm and vivacious. It becomes a luscious burnt orange when dark wax is applied, we have even seen it resemble rustic leather with the dark wax. It works well when paired with Chateau Grey, Paris Grey, as well as Aubusson Blue. Great for the vintage, retro look too.
Here it is reduced down with Old White.
