STAY TUNED....
We have EXCITING news to announce on Monday
Until then,
Remember this?
Loved the shape and design of the frame, just wanted all the beautiful detailing to pop.
Let us re-introduce you to this:
We definitely wanted a little gold showing through in spots. Using sandpaper was just a little too rough and took off some of the gold finish underneath. So, this time we distressed before waxing by wiping back the paint with a damp terry cloth towel.
Painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Emile with accents in Country Grey.
It took a quite a bit of time to hand paint all the detailed areas, but we think it was definitely worth the extra effort. What do you think?
It looks wonderful! I was just wondering about the using the Emile color! You make me want to try it! I would also like to see something painted in the reds.... They seem a little tricky! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteOMG! I never thought to do this. That handpainted detail is to die for. Handpainting those details turned out waaay better than just a single tone of antique white. AWESOME! Really it is!!
ReplyDeleteOMG, I love, love, love that!!
ReplyDeleteYou must have such a steady hand to be able to highlight the accents so neatly!!

Beautiful! It looks like Wedgewood-style.
ReplyDeleteOne the last piece I did, I distressed with a damp towel - I like that method better than sanding.
Gorgeous! Love the way it made the details pop. Thanks for sharing
